Business Support Grants

 
Industrial Regeneration Grant
 
The grant assists businesses with costs for external building improvements. Environmental and internal improvements may also be considered. All works must be within the curtilage of the property.
 
Level of Financial Support: Maximum of 55% of eligible costs up to a maximum grant of £15,000
 
 
E-Commerce Grant
 
The grant is designed to enable businesses to gain or develop an internet presence. Eligible items may include design of a Website and purchase of a domain name.
 
Level of Financial Support: Maximum of 55% of eligible costs up to a maximum grant of £10,000
 
 
Tourism Development Grant
 
The grant assists direct and indirect tourism based businesses. Projects must satisfy a visitor market need; encouraging inward bound tourism to Rhondda Cynon Taf. The grant can include the purchase of non transferable equipment and costs for external building improvements, environmental and internal works.
 
Level of Financial Support: Maximum of 55% of eligible costs up to a maximum grant of £15,000
 
 
Business Planning Grant
 
The grant assists businesses to develop a business plan that is aimed at attracting funding from other sources.
 
Level of Financial Support: Maximum of 55% of eligible costs up to a maximum grant of £10,000
 
 
Commercial Improvement Area Grant
 
The grant assists with costs for external building improvements. Environmental and internal improvements may also be considered. All works must be within the curtilage of the property. The property must be located within a designated commercial/ industrial improvement area.

Level of Financial Support: 50% of eligible costs up to a maximum grant of £15,000

Eligibility Criteria


To meet EU (European Union) definition of an SME (Small Medium Enterprise) and qualify for grants/ funding your business must:
 
  • Have fewer than 250 employees
    x
  • Have an annual turnover not exceeding 50 Million Euros
    x
  • Have an annual balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million Euros
    x
  • Conform to the criterion of independence as defined by the commission of the Eurpoean Communities Recommendation (96/280/EC)
    x
  • Not have more than 25% of the capital or voting rights by an enterprise which is not itself an SME
