• match your job requirements to young people looking for work
• display your vacancies at Careers Centres and on our website
• handle the initial distribution of your application forms or provide standard application forms
• arrange for you to interview applicants at Careers Centres
• provide advice and information on the recruitment of young people with special needs
• give you information on the local labour market and on the latest educational/training developments
• advise you on the timing of recruitment to ensure that you attract suitable applicants
• provide you with information on the training and development of young workers.

Our Standards for Vacancy Servicing

• Employers and learning providers are dealt with by a named contact wherever possible.
• We inform providers if we are unable to identify suitable applicants within two working days of notification.
• We endeavour to service vacancies quickly. We identify and notify suitable young people within three working days of the notification of vacancies.
• We place the details of vacancies on our display boards within three hours of notification.
• We contact employers within two weeks of placing a client to assess satisfaction with our services and to enquire about the young person’s progress.
• We actively promote equality of opportunity within the vacancy-handling process.
