Smith & Tuckwood Partnership are well established chartered architects and surveyors. The practice  was formed during the autumn of 1986 following the purchase of the business and assets of two established companies in Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil by their respective director managers.

The experience of the partners covers a 40 year period of professional activity covering the widest range of building types throughout Wales and the United Kingdom. An in depth local knowledge of the special problems and opportunities for development in the South Wales mining areas within which the practice is located, is regarded as a particular strength by many of their clients.

The practice has been fortunate in the broad base of client bodies which it has been able to represent. School buildings; medical surgeries; public houses and leisure facilities have been completed along with a considerable number of shops and office developments, works to fire stations and libraries within the local authority, public and private residential projects with individual contracts up to £5 million.
