Blaenllechau Community Regeneration (BCR) has been awarded a Heritage Lottery Grant over a two-year period, which is excellent news for anyone interested in local history.  The substantial existing archives are to be collated into an easy system for finding information and photographs.  A variety of equipment has been purchased through the Heritage Lottery Fund  and will also provide training for family research.

 

Alun Clement who has been involved with local History over the past nineteen years has been appointed as facilitator for this exciting project and asks people from the local area with an enthusiasm for local history to get involved.  Subjects can range from Farming, Mining, Religion, Education, Transport, Housing, Employment, Sport etc.
