Ferndale is located in the Rhondda Valleys of South Wales, UK. It is approximately 19 miles north of Cardiff. The population of Ferndale is about 6000.
It is a former coal mining community. The mines are long gone but the cut-stone terraced houses still remain, as a reminder of our mining heritage.
