Who are we?

Church welcome

Porth United Reformed Church is a Christian church situated in the town of Porth, at the confluence of the Rhondda Fawr and Rhondda Fach rivers in south Wales. It was founded as Porth English Congregational Church in 1881, and the current building was erected in 1885. In 1972 it became part of the United Reformed Church, a Christian denomination which includes churches from the Congregational, Presbyterian and Disciples traditions in Wales, England and Scotland.

Newsflash

PREVIEW "PRINCE CASPIAN" IN CHURCH!
On the 3rd Sunday of each month we hold a Family Service at 11am, which is especially suitable for children, and also for people of any age who may be new to the church. You don't have to bring your family - come on your own if you prefer! The next Family Service will be on Sunday 20th July and will feature extracts from the new Narnia film, Prince Caspian. Everyone is welcome.

Where are we?

 Chapel frontage

The church building is in Pontypridd Road, Porth, Rhondda CF39 9PF. The building fronts onto the road close to the junction with Hannah Street and opposite the new “Porth Plaza”. Free public car parking is available next to the Plaza building and also behind the chapel (entrance via Hannah Street).
When they are not in the building, church members are to be found around and about the town of Porth and the surrounding area. Although most worshippers live in Porth itself, some folk travel to us from the lower Rhondda valleys and from the Beddau, Miskin, Church Village and Tonteg area.
