Via the Opening Doors newsletter and Disabled Children’s Index website, families of disabled children and young people who are registered on the Disabled Children's Index were invited to complete an online consultation on the Draft Children and Young People’s Plan.
 
 

February 2008

 
Letters inviting families of disabled young people to a Parent and Carer Network transition meeting were sent to families of young people who are registered on the Index and who are aged 16 to 18. Those attending the meeting would be invited to communicate their views on the transition process and the information available about it, in order to gather ideas for a transition information event that the Parent and Carer Network hope to hold later in 2008.

Families of disabled children and young people who are registered on the Disabled Children's Index were sent a questionnaire about Childcare in Rhondda Cynon Taf, and were invited to respond in order to help to shape future provision in this area.
 
 

August 2007

 
Families of disabled children and young people who are registered on the Disabled Children's Index were sent a questionnaire about Disability Sport provision in Rhondda Cynon Taf (one questionnaire for parents/carers and one for children), and were invited to provide details of the sporting activities that families and children want to access, in order to help to shape future provision in this area.
