You are invited to attend a "Yes U Can" children, young people and families fun day to celebrate the single plan in RCT.
This is the first Children and Young People's Plan for Rhondda Cynon Taf. It has been produced for and by members of Fframwaith, the Children and Young People's Partnership, with the help of local children, young people and families as well as the people who work with them.
There is an expectation across Wales that, through the following 7 core aims, agencies and people will improve the way they work together to ensure all children and young people:
· Have a flying start in life
· Have a comprehensive range of education and learning opportunities
· Enjoy the best possible health, freedom from abuse, victimisation and exploitation
· Have access to play, leisure, sporting and cultural activities
· Are listened to, treated with respect, and have their race and cultural identity recognised
· Have a safe home and a community which supports physical and emotional well-being

Shining Stars Shining Stars
Rhondda Cynon Taf Leisure Services have developed a physical activity group for children aged between 4 and 11 years old.
The group is aimed at children who have delayed gross motor skill development and/or have low physical confidence. This may include children with a formal diagnosis of dyspraxia or high functioning autism, but also includes children with delayed skill development, relative to their age.
Each child must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult and the child's "grown up", would be actively encouraged to join in and support their child.
The group will be lead by a qualified instructor, who will organise a range of group and individual activities, designed to focus on muscle strengthening, balance and co-ordination skills. All the activities can be adapted to suit the particular abilities of the individual child, and will take place in a relaxed, fun, and non-competitive environment. Individual achievement and progression will be recognised and rewarded.
