Trealaw Communities First is a community development project and part of the Welsh Assembly Government Programme 2001-2011.
The Trealaw Communities First Partnership are a group of people, individuals and representatives of local groups and agencies, who have an interest in Trealaw and its residents. The Partnership are supported by three staff members to develop a Community Action Plan for Trealaw. This means increasing the opportunities for Trealaw residents in the areas of:

Community Activity
Community Safety
Education & Learning
Environment
Health & Well-being

A Better, Safer, Healthier and Wealthier place to Live, where people have the opportunity to access the services they need and the opportunity to influence the regeneration of the ward.
Aims & Objectives
* To reduce levels of deprivation and social exclusion.
* To increase level of community participation in Communities First.
* To Promote better equality of opportunity throughout the community.
* To assist the co-ordination of services and ensure services are provided in such a way that they meet the particular needs of Trealaw.
* To act as a steering group for new initiatives and regeneration activities and assist with the monitoring and evaluation of these.
