SOME SIMPLE ADVICE ON HOW IT WORKS

Rhondda Cynon Taff Community Safety Partnership have employed Community Engagement Officers, these officers have a responsibility to support, encourage and maintain Neighbourhood Watch, this includes bringing them into partnership with all stautory bodies within the area, but in particular, the RCT Community Safety Partnership, this body providing much of the advice and guidance on crime prevention and simple projects to rebuild community confidence and reasurrance.

Communities should come together in partnership with local agencies to address the problem they face.

Communities should be encouraged to participate in local crime reduction initiatives such as property and security marking of households, vehicles and valuables.

Keep a look out for each other and report any suspicious activity seen within your area.

Meet up a few times a year to have a meeting and discuss if things are getting better or worse and decide upon actions that may help to have an impact in reducing crime and annoyance.

Become involved with other local Neighbourhood Watch groups and swap ideas and experience on how to deal with different issues.
