RCT - The Healthy Living Network and its Team
The RCT – Healthy Living Network is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and was set up to improve health by supporting selected communities within R.C.T. with the aim to:

encourage individuals who live within these communities to begin to make informed choices concerning their health

continuing supporting those individuals by introducing them to new skills acquired through various health programs
The Communities 1st which the RCT – Healthy Living Network Team supports are:

Cynon Valley to include Abercowmboi, Cwmaman, Penywaun, Bryncynon, Darrenlas, Penrhiwceiber, Perthcelyn, Miskin, Fernhill

Rhondda to include Maerdy, Treherbert, Tylorstown, Penrhys, Pontygwaith, Ynyshir, Wattstown, Cwmclydach, Clydach Vale, Pen-y-graig, Dinas, Cymmer, Tonyfefail West, Trealw, Llwynypia

Taff Ely to include Rhydyfelin, Gilfach Goch, Glyncoch
In addition to the above, the RCT – Healthy Living Network also supports non Community 1st Areas as follows:

Cwmparc, Hirwaun, Ferndale, Llanharan, Brynna
The RCT – Healthy Living Network services are provided through the above Community Networks and the themes HLN aims to cover are through approved programs such as the highly successful “Get Cooking” project: -
