Menter Gymraeg Merthyr Tudful (Merthyr Tydfil Welsh Venture) was established on 1st May 2003. The Venture operates under the umbrella of Canolfan a Menter Gymraeg Merthyr Tudful - Merthyr Tydfil Welsh Centre and Venture and is therefore situated within the Welsh Centre's building in Merthyr.

The Urdd is an exciting, dynamic movement for children and young people. It organises a range of different activities across Wales. We have 16 development officers who work all over Wales to ensure that the Urdd offers a full programme of activties for children and young people.

A Menter (pl. Mentrau) Iaith, or language initiative, is a local organisation which offers support to communities to increase and develop their use of the Welsh language.

WLB / BIGMae Bwrdd yr Iaith Gymraeg yn gorff statudol a noddir gan Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru. Fe’i sefydlwyd yn Rhagfyr 1993, o dan delerau Deddf yr Iaith Gymraeg. Ei brif swyddogaeth yw hybu a hwyluso defnyddio’r iaith Gymraeg.

The Welsh Language Board is a statutory organisation, funded by the National Assembly for Wales. It was established in December 1993 under the terms of the Welsh Language Act. Its main function is to promote and facilitate the use of the Welsh language.
