This page is about the Therapy REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a Holistic Therapy that treats the person as a whole.

It is a Complementary Treatment that can be used in conjunction with Medical treatment.

Reflexology is a natural, non-invasive treatment that dates back many thousands of years, as far back as Ancient Egyptian times.

The Therapy is based on thumb/finger pressure massage to reflex points on the foot or hand that relate to all areas of the body.

Using the reflex points on the foot/hand, the Therapist is able to locate areas of illness/disease in the body.

By stimulating these points, the body’s own healing process is in turn stimulated and a balance of well being is achieved.

Reflexology Therapists DO NOT diagnose and your Medical care remains the responsibility of your Medical Practitioner.

Your Treatment

At your first visit, a detailed history is taken of your lifestyle/medical problems.

This ensures that treatment is appropriate for you and carried out safely.

A treatment is given while you are comfortably seated or lying down in a chair or couch.

You will be asked to remove your socks/shoes and glasses if you wear them.

Your Reflexologist will massage the pressure points on your feet/hands to cover all the body.

Cream or talc is used to help massage smoothly.

Reflexology is a very relaxing treatment and you may feel very sleepy, emotional, hot or cold during and just after treatment.

This is due to the effects of stimulating the energy throughout the body and is a perfectly normal response.
