The facilities at Gelligaled Park are first class and have been designed for all members of the community to enjoy playing and watching bowls
Since April 2003 the game has been played on an all-weather outdoor carpet and not on traditional grass. Thus it is possible to use all the facilities throughout the year although normally the extended bowling season commences early March and finishes at the end of October. The Clubhouse is however used throughout the year.
Disabled and able bodied are thus encouraged to use the facilities as access both onto the playing surface and into the clubhouse is easy. A specially adapted wheelchair, provided from Community Chest funds, is available for use on the green.
The Wood'N'Hearts Group, comprising cardiac rehabilitation and stroke patients, meets on one afternoon each week throughout the year and members of the Club assist with this group.
The Clubhouse has a large Hall together with excellent changing and toilet facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a secure car parking area at the rear of the clubhouse.
Whilst the facilities are owned and controlled by the Local Authority, Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC, the bowling club assist where and when required to do so.
