Rules
 
 
1. The League shall be called the 'Pontypridd & District Darts League'.
 
2. The League shall consist of a Committee of up to 6 Officials.
 
3. All monies to be banked in the name of the Pontypridd & District Darts League, and withdrawn in any two names, Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.
 
4. All matches to consist of 1 game 4 a-side 801 1 leg, 2 doubles 701 1 leg each, and 4 games of singles 501, best 2 of 3 legs, all games 1 point each, total match points 7. The away team to start games 1,3,5 and 7. The selection of players for singles matches to be drawn out of the hat by each side.
 
5. The throw shall be a minimum of 7'-91/4", and the board fixed at 5'-8' to the centre of the bull from the floor.
 
6. All matches to commence at 8.15pm. Any team failing to be on the ocche by 8.30pm will be liable to forfeit the points for the match.
 
7. The 'home team' to supply a marker and 'away team' a checker. (The checker will tell the player what is scored or left, if asked, by the player).
 
8. Result cards for matches to be signed by both teams, and the 'Winning Team' shall send the match result card to the Fixture Secretary within five days of the match being played. Any team failing to report the match result within the time period will forfeit 2 match points, and a further 2 points if the match card is not received within the next 7 days. Any player who claims the 'highest out' (above 100) must record the score on the match card in block letters.
 
9.All players are required to be registered in writing, and with their own signature 7 days before playing. No players to be registered after halfway through the season. A minimum of 4 male players to be registered in any one team. The entrance fees shall be £25.00 per team of 8 players or less. Teams registering more than 8 players will be charged 50p per extra player.
 
10. Registered players may only play for a team who they have registered for. Any team proved to have played unregistered players will forfeit match points.
 
11. Transfers – Any player of a disbanded team or one who has played for his/her registered team can apply to the Committee for transfer providing that the closing date for registration has not passed. ( Date - end of 1st half of the playing season).
 
12. Teams dropping out of the League during the season – points for the first half of the season will be valid only if the team withdrawing have completed the first half fixtures. Otherwise all points won from such teams will be void.
 
13. League Fixtures. There are to be' No Postponed Matches', If a team chooses to cancel a league match they forfeit the match points. In the event of exceptional circumstances, eg, adverse weather conditions, the League's Committee will assist in the rearrangement of the fixture list.
 
14. Any team disputing the League Tables must give the Fixture Secretary 3 days notice to resolve the enquiry.
 
15. All trophies are the property of the Pontypridd & District Darts League and must be placed in the 'House' or 'Club' of the winning team for 1 year until called for by a League Official. Teams are liable for the cost of repair and replacement of lost trophies while in their possession.
 
16. Any proposals for changes to the above must be submitted in writing to the League Secretary seven (7) days before the Annual General Meeting.
