Tack Farm Scurry
The final scurry of the season took place in Tack Farm Equestrian Centre Hereford
The Ystrad Team were pipped at the post by the Quicksilvers a local team from Herefordshire.
Herefordshire Country Fair
The team did well again in Herefordshire Country Fair getting second place. They were just pipped at the post by the home team Ledbury, but at least Shaun didn't demolise the course this time.

Well done to the team who came reserve champions in 2007 Royal Welsh Show. Despite the terrible conditions the team got into the final for the first time. The team consisted of Toria riding Alice, Tina riding Sammy Jo, Shaun riding Big Bird and Andrew riding Big Billy. Shaun and Big Bird tool a tumble on the first day destroying the wall and then destriyed the gate in the final. We think he is taking over from the Carmarthen teams Byron aka Byron the destroyer. Toria managed to stay on this year and narrowly avoided another collission.

The team continued thier good form in Lower Chapel show where Andrew and Shaun took 2nd place and Tina and Alexis took 3rd place.
The team also were just piped to the post in the the Vale of Glamorgan show and again took second place. An extra well done to Shaun who amazingly stayed on Amy after she took a bit of a tumble.

Two teams attended the Herefordshire Country Fair on the 6th August.
Congratulations to Tina, Lea & Andrew who beat the competition and took first prize.
The Teams in action in Herefordshire Country Fair
The team attended the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells. Unfortunately things didn't go according to plan, Victoria & Alice had built up a good lead but had a collision with the horse and rider from the Flint & Denbigh team. Horses and riders were both ok but Alice needed some attention from the vet. Lets hope things get better as the season progresses.
The team will also be scurrying in Lower Chapel Show, Bedwellty, Vale of Glamorgan and the Silver Fox Challenge. Please come along to the shows and show your support for the team who put a lot of time and effort into training the horses for this fast and exciting event.
