The Inter Hunt Scurry Team, Sean riding Big Bird, Victoria riding Alice, Tina riding Sammy Jo and Andrew riding Big Billy,

 attended The Royal Welsh Show at Llanelwedd this year,

 representing Ystrad Taf Fechan Hunt, the teams’ performance was first class!!!

This years' course was extremely challenging to horse & rider, there were many thrills & some spills during the competition, providing much entertainment for the crowd, although thanfully all members of the team finished they're round safely.

 

On the Tuesday, the first heat seen the team compete against The Golden Valley Scurry team, it was a tense round,

yet the team kept they're cool and won they're heat, qualifying for the next heat!!

 

In the second heat, the team were up against Tredegar Farmers,

they sailed through they're heat and made it on to the third heat the following day.

 

On the Wednesday, the Inter Hunt Scurrys semi final took; the team were up against Flint & Denbigh,

once again fast, successfully finishing & winning they're heat, now qualifying them to proceed to the final!!!

 

The final saw the team compete against the Vale of Clettwr,

this was a fast & furious round, and extremely tense, it was close but the Vale of Clettwr took the title.

The Ystrad Taf Fechan team were runners up and second over all, which was an excellent achievement to the riders and the hunt.
