Traveline is a national initiative and for information about travel outside Wales callers are referred to other Traveline call centres.

 

Private operators, such as Bebb Travel, First Cymru, Islwyn, Shamrock Travel and Stagecoach in South Wales, operate most of the bus services within Rhondda Cynon Taf on a fully commercial basis. The Council subsidises approximately 7% of bus routes, providing for services, which might otherwise not run, e.g. evening and Sunday services.

Rail services in Rhondda Cynon Taf are operated by Arriva Trains Wales, following their award in December 2003 of a new, 15-year integrated rail franchise to provide interurban, rural and commuter passenger rail services throughout Wales and the border counties.
