Below is a timetable of the different computer courses that are available in the Adult Education Centres in RCT. There are a number of different courses that cover everything from computers for complete beginners to more specific courses such as digital photography. Underneath the table is a brief description of what the different courses teach.
The courses cost £1 an hour, or are free of charge if you are under the age of 19, over the age of 60, or claiming Benefits. Each course works towards an OCN accreditation, which means that you would be working towards a recognised qualification. In order to achieve the qualification you need to be involved for the whole of the course, but if you're just interested in learning new skills, or brushing up on your skills, then you can attend individual training sessions.
There are still a few places left on each of the courses, if you're interested phone Ty Catrin Adult Education Centre on 01443 480843. The same classes are also starting in April. The timetable for these courses can be seen below in 'AEC Computer Classes Starting Soon', so you can also call up to put your name on a waiting list to start on of these courses.

Computers for Beginners: This course is for the complete beginner. You will quickly develop confidence and have fun learning how your computer works and what you can do with your new skills.
Computers Level 1: This course is for you if you have a basic knowledge of using a computer, and you wish to develop and improve your skills.
CLAIT: If you are already familiar with working with a computer and would like to improve your skills and gain a recognised qualification this is the course for you. We are offering CLAIT in four centres as an evening class, and will be covering e.Documents , Database and Spreadsheet.
Digital Photography: If you are unsure how to use your Digital Camera then this Entry level class will be able to help you.
Internet and Email: This course will enable you to surf the internet, discover new things, to use email and talk to your friends locally and across the world. We are also able to offer Entry and Level 1 courses in Desktop Publishing, Presentation skills, Spreadsheets and Database.
